1. Understand The Problem:
Goal is to show uniqueness of the foods while manipulating lighting to show texture/color. Fruits and veggies can display an array of colors and textures from the wide variety of options, so many options are available with these foods. Exploring how different lighting techniques affect the elements and principles of design. My greatest challenge will be getting the materials to be able to manipulate light in the way needed.
2. Research and Investigate:
Understand lighting techniques and how to properly use them.
Colors that work well together and add to the creativity.
Flood lights, flash, model lights to emphasize texture and show shadows.
3. Genrate Possible Solutions:
-in water/milk
-half peeled
-edges in circle
-wedge with color lights
-backlight with thin slice
-glistening water from flash

-Strawberry dropped in strawberry milk w/ leaves
-Fruit with light from behind
6. Test and Evaluate
Strawberry in milk-
Successes- droplets with high highlights
Failures- slightly blurry when stop action was desired
More lighting to allow for a faster shutter (desired stop action)
Lime with backlighting-
Successes- able to really bring out the green with photoshop and the "neon" effect showed through with the back lighting
Failures- large amount of the physical light in picture
no reflector so hard to direct light at lime
